Busy June 30 ahead:

It's Time for

the Sunset Cruise!

The 2007 Sunset Cruise has been scheduled for Saturday, June 30, during Lewes Seafaring Days.  The cruise out to photograph Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse and Delaware Breakwater East End Lighthouse as the sun dips to the horizon is always a popular outing.

The two-hour cruise aboard Capt. Ted Moulinier’s boats Angler and  Indian will leave from the charter fishing boat docks on the beach side of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal near the Irish Eyes Restaurant site at 6:30 p.m.  Participants are invited to bring their own drinks and snacks or box lunch and, of course, cameras are encouraged.  Members of the Foundation Board will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about the lighthouses and Foundation work.

Tickets are $20 for DRBLHF members and $25 for non-members.  Call 302-644-7046 to reserve space.

Tickets for this popular event always sell out fast,
so make your reservation soon.

Join Us at the Lewes Historical Society's Seafaring Days Festival

The Foundation will also have a booth on the grounds of the Lewes Historical Society complex during the Lewes Seafaring Days festival that same day.  The booth will feature updated information about Foundation activities, sale of Foundation logo merchandise and some great new clothing and other items featuring Delaware lighthouses.

Lewes Seafaring Days is sponsored by the Lewes Historical Society to commemorate the city’s maritime heritage.  The festival will feature food, crafts, art, presentations, entertainment and vendors — all with a  seafaring theme.  Activities begin with a clambake on Friday night. (Contact LHS for reservations.)  Click here to go to the LHS site for more infomation.

Saturday’s festival will open at 10 a.m. and run till 4 p.m.  Tickets are $3 at the gate.  Come join the fun and help support lighthouse preservation with your purchases at the Foundation booth.
